How to install artificial turf?

The installation of artificial turf must be carried out in accordance with the standard steps to ensure flatness and durability. The main process is as follows:

Venue preparation

Before construction, thoroughly clear the site to ensure a solid foundation and no debris, and measure and mark the boundary lines. If the foundation is soft soil, it needs to be compacted in advance to prevent water seepage.

Measurement and scribing

Measure the dimensions of the field according to the design drawings, mark the functional areas (such as the goal area and the penalty area) with marking paint, and ensure the precise positioning of each point. ‌

Lay the base material

Lay a layer of crushed stones, sand or rubber particles on a flat ground with uniform thickness to enhance drainage and buffering effects.

Lawn cutting and splicing

Spread the artificial turf along the edge line direction, cut and splice it according to the measurement line, ensuring that the grass fibers are in the same direction and the seams are tight. Fix it with special glue or fasteners, and leave a 3-8mm overlap at the joint. ‌

Filling and fixation

Use a rubber hammer to strike from the joint to both sides to make the lawn closely adhere to the base layer. Fill with quartz sand or rubber particles to increase stability, and use carding tools to adjust the uprightness of the grass fibers. ‌

Acceptance and Maintenance

After construction, check the flatness, uniformity of filling and drainage performance of the lawn, and formulate a regular cleaning and maintenance plan to extend its service life. ‌
